Juice Box Quilt Block

The Juice Box Quilt Block pattern is available here in my Etsy shop.

I designed this block for the block swap that Ruby Star Society hosted at QuiltCon in Atlanta in 2023. It was such a fun concept! The rules were that you made a 12″ block using all Ruby Star fabrics and bring it along to their booth at QuiltCon. Once you got there it was a take one leave one policy for the blocks that had little hooks hanging up on a wall. You could swap your blocks as many times as you wanted over the weekend, so if you saw one that spoke to you more than one you’d already swapped you could switch it out.

I based the design for this block on the juice boxes, or milk cartons, from the Clementine collection of fabrics designed by Melody Miller for Ruby Star Society. It was such a bright and glorious collection full of bright oranges, pinks, and blues and I (along with a lot of other people) hope they may bring it back for a Clementine 2 at some point!

The Juice Box Quilt Block comes with two sizes, the original 12″ block and a simpler 6″ block that you can add into smaller projects.
